Wife and I left May 15 and returned home June 22. Rode our 2022 Tri Glide 8,895.6 miles. Left home in NC and headed to Colorado to visit wife's daughter in Denver for a few days. From there to Washington State to visit wife's brother. Drove thru 25 states, thru every kind of weather. Met some very interesting people along the way. Saw beautiful scenery. Wish we had taken our time and took in more sights. States included NC, SC, GA, AL, MS, LA, TX, NM, CO, AZ, NV, CA, OR, WA, ID, MT, WY, ND, IA, IL, IN, OH, KY, WV, VA and back in NC. What an adventure! When we arrived back in my driveway at 10:15 Friday evening I just started laughing! I was able to do what so many people hope to do and started on what I hope to be many more quests! Made memories for a lifetime. If at all possible, make that trip you dream about. Take the time, spend the money and head to that horizon. You'll never regret it!

Thank you for sharing- With my latest 3.0 TTS tune, against advise, I made a ‘test tune’ to experiment and turned off my decel enleanment and limited my accel enrichment. (After full and accurate MAP/RPM mapping) Now it’s a very mellow pop with tempo- much more acoustically pleasing- will monitor for negative effects

I wanted to love these!! I installed mine yesterday. I have the older SE 2 slip ons I took the baffles out these make my 88cu louder but sounds good!! Only gripe is I feel like I lost my low end power!! 🤷🏻‍♂️ I’ll probably ride with these for a bit then go back to my baffles other then that I do love the sound

I was always told that motocycle oil has additives for the clutch disc in the primary and normal oil does not

So how is my bike going to get tuned? SE doesn't make a tuner for my Sportster S and if I use aftermarket I lose my warranty. I have a TBR exhaust on it and the SE air cleaner so I need a tune to complete the stage one. Now what?

Unfortunately for us in the United Kingdom and EU we have x4 O2 Sensors. Any kind of after market pipe fitted will require deletion of the downstream O2 Sensors fitted in the silencers. O2 Eliminators will not cure this and the bike will still throw trouble codes. This will still require the purchase of either a V&H FP4 or Dynojets PV4, though have heard of tuners having Direct Access Hardware that can perform the same process. I would note these new tunes by V&H/Dynojet retain and use the upstream O2 sensors only editing the performance end of the map. Startup/tickover and cruising is still controlled by the sensors and deleting them is no longer an option on the M8 harley. The bike will not run if try to delete the upstream O2 sensors by way of O2 Eliminators. Only a fully created Dyno Tune will allow the deletion of the upstream O2 sensors stopping the bike from running first closed loop then open loop (please excuse if thats the other way around) If indeed as you say the M8 does not run weak then why does the bike stumble around 20 -30mph? for us thats cruising between traffic control cameras (average speed cameras) I noticed this same issue with my twin cam along with excessive popping and banging (Harley map) V&H FP3 cured both the popping and banging and the slow speed stumble at the expense of a small amount of takeoff performance. I would say the M8 still runs weak during startup and cruising and that it only runs stoic when under harder acceleration at the edited performance end of the map.

When you guys speak of heat, are you talking about cylinder heat or oil temperature? Rode yesterday in SC. 45-65 mph, for about 1 hour. Shot both cylinders with heat gun and both were over 300 Purchased bike used recently. Only obvious upgrade is VH pipes designed for Tri Glide. I have installed the outlaw 606 and all of your suggested mods to cool the engine down. Will be installing the tune, Power Vision today. May or may not have had a tune. I do not know the history of the bike. 2013 tri glide. 10.000 miles. Also running to oil coolers. Factory and DK . No lowers installed at the moment. I remove them in the summer heat. 20-50 Lucas oil.

buy once cry once! goes for gear especially. my buddy's wife thought she was all cool ordering this cheap ass helmet from Amazon. it was all pink and graphics and cool looking.. We get to where we're going about an hour later and it's summertime. And her sweat pulled all of the black die out of the fabric in that cheap helmet and she looked like she had a beard lol.

You guys are the best. Do you think those flanges you make will fit a Lehman solid axle rear on my 04 Ultra trike?. I have a noise in the rear and think it just may be the axle bearings and or flanges such as you describe. I know Leman made the early trikes for Harley so maybe they are the same, I can find no information anywhere on these Lehman rears. Thanks and I will be purchasing my parts and accessories from you guys in the future.

Hmmm perfect adventure for my new to me Pan America Special 🤔 it's more of a condition of your mind than the body , I've ridden many many 1000-1200 mile days sleep 4-5 hours and go again, body only hurts so much before your mind blocks it out , well atleast for me it does 😎

Amsoil now. At oil changes it doesn't turn that dark brown I'm accustomed to seeing. There is also a reduction in engine noise. works for me on both my vrod and softail slim. The only other oil I would use other than Amsoil is redline oil. I belive all are good if you change your oil when supposed to

Just finished an 8,200 mile trip starting in AZ to Ontario, CA to Wash DC on Run For The Wall. Wife flew into DC, then down to Myrtle Beach, back up to Long Island, up to Vermont, then west to Boulder, Co, and home. 32 days. 3rd time I've done this with my '21 Trike which just turned 50K miles. Biggest recommendation? Have a destination, but not a date to get there. A date makes you miss a lot in between! RFTW is scheduled no doubt, but wife and I would ride 5-600 miles per day to get to a friend's house and drive by places we'd like to stop at, but couldn't due to the commitment of friends taking time off and such. Take the 2-laners and enjoy the smaller towns! Less stress, less hassle. Call a friend when/if you're in the area.

AT does replace the AFR given wide band O2s are part of the auto tune but I don't think it changes a thing in terms of spark or many other parameters. It is great as you say if you have the base map that someone knowledgeable built for whatever configuration your bike is in. However, in a practical sense, if everyone that needs a tune buys wide-band auto-tune kit, the world will be flooded with one-time use equipment. It's like everyone on a block with 20 square feet of grass to mow owning a lawn mower. With respect to making the most use of equipment, the professional tuner still makes sense whether they have a mechanical dynamometer or not.
